On His Path is pleased to announce Mayra de Arteaga, new Coordinator for On His Path’s five clubfoot clinics in El Salvador. Mayra was born and raised in San Salvador, El Salvador. She is married and mother of an 11 year-old boy and 7 year-old girl. In her teenage years she received the Lord as her savior and she was inspired since then to work with children and served in the church for 13 years as Sunday School Teacher.
Mayra studied a Bachelor in English degree at Universidad Tecnologica de El Salvador and graduated in 1994. Before joining On His Path, Mayra worked since 1991 for World Vision, a recognized Christian organization committed to help children, families, and communities and worked there for 16 years in the Customer Relations Services Department where she got experience working with development projects an providing administrative support to Support Offices and Projects in the communities.
Mayra also worked for Compassion International as External Translator since 2008. She served as volunteer for Amiga Agency supported by Tear fund that helped Garifunas in the coast of Honduras with construction of houses and translation of the New Testament to Garifuna dialect. Mayra developed a strong sense of devotion to work with nonprofit organizations which seek specially to improve the quality of life of children. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and watching design and decoration programs, she also likes spending time with her family and children.
Mayra is so grateful for the opportunity to work with On His Path and make a difference in the lives of Salvadorian children through the Clubfoot Program.
